‘Like I Do’ is a hypnotic piece of disco-house from Ryan Doyle that fills the floor with a persistent four-to-the-floor bass drum, crisp hi-hats and an airy snare drum. He fills the rest of the texture with warm synth chords, thick pads and a twanging electric guitar that leave just enough room for that groovy bass line and catchy vocal hook. The track “came super quickly to me at the end of 2022 and I've been so excited to put it out ever since! I'd listened to Fred Again's Tapenotes podcast where he talked about working in different places and I thought I'd try it, so the bulk of ‘Like I Do’ was made in a Starbucks!”.
